bullet  General Notes:

From the Floresville Chronicle Journal Obituary:

" Mr Lamza's children stated that their Daddy loved his children and always enjoyed their company. He especially enjoyed playing dominoes with his children and other senior citizen.
He loved the outdoors and even after he retired from farming, he continued to grow a garden and care for his flowerbeds."

From an Obituary Column, unknown newspaper -- 1988:

..."'My father loved the outdoors and enjoyed showing his grandchildren around the farm,' said his daughter, Gloria Tschoepe of New Braunfels. 'Even after he retired he still gardened and took care of the flowers.
'He enjoyed playing dominoes with his children and with members of the Floresville Senior Citizens Club, of which he was a member.'
After his wife died in 1974, Lamza lived on the farm alone until last May, when he had his first stroke and was hospitalized.
...
One of Lamza's greates pleasures was to sit in the yard after supper and tell tales about his childhood to his grandchildren.
'The children listened as he told about walking three miles to school and joining classmates from neighboring farms along the way,' she said. 'He told of the tricks they used to play on each other as they walked along.
'He also talked about moving in his childhood from one place to another with the help of horse-drawn buggies and wagons. They farmed with horses in those days. A lot of his childhood was spent at Shiner near Peach Creek...'
